Hurricane Awareness Week:
Assemble Disaster Supplies

Now that you should be aware of your flood risk and have created an evacuation plan, it’s time to start assembling disaster supplies. Start by making a list of various supplies you’ll need to both get through the storm and its aftermath. Here’s our list of recommendations:

• Food & Water for 3 days per household member. Don’t forget your pets too!
• Radio, batteries, and chargers – portable crank or solar-powered options would be best
• Keep cash on hand, in the event that electricity and internet our out retailers will be unable to process electronic payments
• Blankets & Clothing
• Fill up on gas ahead of the storm, this is necessary should an evacuation be ordered
